Hormone changes are common trigger of migraine in women. Most women experience a migraine before or during their menstruation cycle. Pregnancy and menopause also common causes of chronic migraines. This is change in level of estrogen that lead to migraine aroused from hormonal changes.

Taking medications such as birth control pills or other sort of medications that can impact the level of hormones is also one of the causes of a chronic migraine. Medications such as Vasodilators also trigger a migraine.

People suffer from chronic migraine due to stress and anxiety. Stress of personal life, work life, or tension associated with illness can cause a chronic migraine. Certain type of physical stress is also one of the causes of a chronic migraine. Extreme exercise can lead to migraine.
